New Orleans Saints had a good start to the NFL 2024 season, scoring 2-0, but after that, the team has lost five consecutive games, including the game against Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.

The New Orleans Saints lost their game to Denver by a score of 26-3, leading the fans to rage against the team’s head coach, Dennis Allen. Then, Saints fans took over social media to express dissatisfaction with Allen and the team’s latest performance.

Meanwhile, many are calling for Dennis’ firing so that the team can get back on track. One fan tweeted, saying,

If this team gets blown out by Bo Nix and the Broncos, don’t even have a postgame press conference. Just release a statement that Dennis Allen has been fired.

Likewise, another Twitter user named Mel wrote,

Lord, please let this be the game that gets Dennis Allen fired

Regarding the matter, another Saints fan stated,

There’s no point of having Dennis Allen as a head coach if the defense is going to be bad

Similarly, some others said that it would be great if the particular game would be the last game that Dennis coached.

Amidst all these social media calls, some even claimed that Dennis Allen would be out of the team by Monday.

Well, not only the audiences but also the sports personalities are predicting the firing of the Saints head coach sooner rather than later.

According to Fox Sports Radio reports, Jason Smith reacted to the Thursday Night Football game and anticipated Dennis’s firing. He said

It’s hard for me to not think Dennis Allen is gonna be the next head coach to be fired in the NFL… certain losses — anything that happens on national television — is a bigger deal…

Jason further analyzed the game, saying the team’s defense and tackling strategy were terrible. Their lack of effort and urgency are the factors that should prompt the coach to be fired.

Regarding the matter, Mike Harmon also commented on the Saints’ poor game strategy, saying that even the not-so-good team, the Broncos, defeated the Saints.

Moreover, while watching the Thursday game, former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman couldn’t resist expressing his perspective on what was happening to a Saints player. He, in fact, interpreted the case differently than others.

Richard said that the Saints players want their coach, Dennis Allen, to be fired from the position. He said,

I’m telling you, Tony, I’m confused, I’m vexed, I’m perplexed, I don’t get it. These are good players. They don’t want to tackle, they don’t want to make plays. … I don’t understand this, it seems like they want to get their coach fired, that’s the effort they’re playing with.

Well, the Saints promoted Dennis to head coach in February 2022 after Sean Payton, the team’s then-coach, stepped back from the position.

During Sean’s tenure, the New Orleans Saints reached the playoffs for nine seasons, so Saints’ fans were hoping high this season, too. However, as the team didn’t do well, anger directly fell upon the coach, Dennis Allen, resulting in the demand for his firing.
