Landry’s impact reached beyond law enforcement. He actively participated in school events and worked closely with students, earning their admiration and trust.

His presence made a difference in the school community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and service.

Brian Landry’s journey took a difficult turn in August 2024, when he was diagnosed with a rare form of bladder cancer.

Despite his diagnosis, Landry showed incredible strength and courage.

He underwent multiple treatments and surgeries, continuing to face each challenge with resilience and hope.

As his condition progressed, he stepped away from his duties at the Derry Police Department to focus on his health.

His wife, Courtney, stood by his side throughout the battle, supported by their two sons, Tyson and Jake, and a compassionate community that rallied around them.

In late 2024, after undergoing chemotherapy and surgery, Landry briefly returned to work as a school resource officer.

However, his health began to decline again, and he made the difficult decision to retire early to prioritize his recovery and family time.

Messages of grief and remembrance have poured in from friends, family, and colleagues.

The group NH Back the Blue wrote,

“Our hearts weigh heavy today for the loss of an amazing friend and colleague. May you rest easy, Brian Landry, and know that you’ll forever be remembered.”
