After the premier of the tenth episode of “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,” the late football star and his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, have again started receiving nationwide attention.

Aaron Josef Hernandez was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL).

Hernandez played three seasons with the New England Patriots until his arrest and conviction for the homicide of Odin Lloyd.

However, he also played in Super Bowl XLVI, indicating his football career was quite successful.

Aaron Hernandez And His Fiancée, Shayanna, Were High School Sweethearts!

The late Aaron Hernandez faced a fair share of difficulties, even though he achieved considerable achievements. Nonetheless, his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, always stood by his side until his last breath.

Aaron and Shayanna met each other when they were kids and started dating each other in high school.

However, the couple broke up when the football star attended the University of Florida.

But destiny had other plans as Aaron and Shayanna reconnected soon after the New England Patriots drafted Hernandez in 2010.

Since the two attended the same school and grew up in the same area, they had a lot in common. This feeling of familiarity enhanced their relationship.

As their relationship progressed, Hernandez proposed to Jenkins in 2012. The couple was also expecting their first daughter, Avielle.

The former football player purchased a home worth $1.3 million with an in-ground pool in North AttleboroughMassachusetts, where the family lived together.

In 2011, during his second season with the Patriots, Jenkins eventually settled in with Hernandez.

However, their relationship took a different turn after Jenkins discovered Hernandez cheating on her.

Despite Hernandez’s infidelity, Jenkins wanted to make their relationship work, deciding to compromise on some of his behavior.

Amidst the problems caused by her fiancée’s infidelity, Jenkins ends up involved in a more serious and dangerous issue.

The former football star was charged with first-degree homicide after he became a prime suspect in the assassination of Odin Lloyd.

Lloyd was a semi-professional football player and tight-end for the New England Patriots of the NFL.

On June 26, 2013, authorities arrested Hernandez at his home. They charged him with first-degree murder, one count of carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of possessing a large-capacity firearm, and two counts of possessing a firearm without a firearm identification card.

Throughout his trial and time in prison, Jenkins supported the former football player and testified for his innocence.

“I want Aaron to be known as innocent because he was. He was full of life, so sweet, very lovable, would do anything for anyone … He’s the love of my life. I want him to be known for what he is instead of what people are speculating. They want to make him out to be this monster and he’s not.”

Unfortunately, on April 19, 2017, Hernandez took his own life in prison, leaving behind a goodbye letter for his fiancée and daughter.

Daddy will never leave you! I’m entering to the timeless realm in which I can enter into any form at any time because everything that could happen or not happened I see all at once! Life is eternal—believe!!!. Love, repent, and see me/yourself in everyone because that’s what the truth is! I’ll see you all in the heavens awaiting you all with the same love.”

“Never fear me, but love me with all of you! Fear is the only separation between you and I! We are each other—I/you—you/me—there’s no need to fear but what you do unto another will come back around!”

To Hernandez’s daughter, Avielle

Shay, You have always been my soul-mate and I want you to love life and know I’m always with you. I told you what was coming indirectly! I love you so much and know [you] are an angel. We split into two to come change the world! Your characteristic is that of a true angel and the definition of God’s love! Tell my story fully but never think anything besides how much I love you. This was the supreme almightys plan, not mine! I love you! Let Avi know how much I love her! Look after Jano and Eddie for me —they are my boys (You’re Rich). I love you all equally! We are all each other! Don’t shed one tear for I am with all of you and never wasn’t! do not go back to living while worshipping false idols in which I warned you about!

IT’S TIME!! The Real Live Forever

To fianceé Shayanna Jenkins

Despite Claiming To Ensure A Better Life For Their Daughter, Shayanna’s Expenses Says Opposite, Raising Concerns!

Although life threw many challenges at Shayanna, she always stood her ground and focused on her career.

She is a licensed insurance broker with Symmetry Financial Group and deals with life insurance, retirement plans, IULs, amenities, and RI.

Furthermore, Shayanna has also established herself as an entrepreneur and launched an event-planning business called Mommy and Me, specializing in kids’ events.

She had her second daughter with Dino Guilmette in 2018. Shayanna is a proud mother who works hard to ensure a good life for her girls.

Avielle, the first daughter she had with Aaron, aspires to be a professional dancer when she grows up.

Over the years, Avielle has achieved many dance accomplishments, including playing a mouse in the Nutcracker ballet, earning a 5-year award in 2020, and performing solos.

However, the cost of Avielle’s dancing lesson raised concerns over how Shayanna was spending Aaron’s trust fund money.

In 2022, Shayanna requested $10,000 from the trust in order to cover Avielle’s competitive dancing tuition.

However, attorney David Schwartz disregarded the request after investigating her expenses.

He discovered her spending included $36,858 in clothing, particularly maternity wear; $39,347 in home goods; $25,577 in online shopping; and $11,792 in self-care, such as gym memberships and trips to hair and nail salons.

Schwartz’s attorney, Robert O’Regan, told the outlet:

There is reason to question whether the expenditures were for Avielle’s benefit,” “To be fair, this little girl should have a decent life with what her father left for her. No one would complain if there were reasonable expenses. We’re talking about over the top or otherwise unrelated expenses to Avielle.”

However, Shayanna disputed the claim, telling the paper:

Since Aaron’s death, my sole focus has been on raising and providing as stable a life for my children as possible.

She claimed in an e-mail to the Boston Globe:

All monies I have spent have been with this singular focus in mind, and this will continue to be my focus going forward.”

When Avielle turned 25, the trust fund should have had about $700,000. Shayanna reportedly started working with a personal financial coach as a court battle continued ahead.

Every year, Shayanna Jenkins pays tribute to her late fiancée, Aaron Hernandez, on the date of his demise, April 19.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Aaron Hernandez’s father, Dennis Hernandez, was of Puerto Rican descent, and his mother, Terri Valentine-Hernandez, was of Italian descent.
  • After his demise, researchers at Boston University studied Hernandez’s brain and diagnosed him with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), stage 3 of 4.
  • At the time of his demise, Odin Lloyd was dating Shaneah Jenkins, sister of the fiancée of Hernandez.
