A Detroit mother, Iluu Eriica, died untimely in October 2025, leaving her three kids.
In no time, people on social media started talking about her passing.
Allegedly, Eriica was killed and left on her mother’s porch; however, the details surrounding her sudden demise remain unconfirmed.
Sadly, Eriica went out the night before and had posted happy things online less than a day before.

One friend, Shante Smith, asked everyone to stop sharing wrong stories. She said to respect the family and Erica’s kids, who use social media, writing:
If we do not post what happened, do not make up things. If you heard something, tell the family nicely. Take down the posts. Let us be sad in peace.

Some people argued about what really happened at first. Stories changed from her body being left somewhere to other ideas, even saying it was not real.
Benida Hale questioned whether she faked her death for likes and views. However, she quickly took the post down after Eriica’s mother confirmed it, writing:

She clarified, saying, “I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful to the family people were just saying it was fake!!“
One man, JaQueese JaQuise, told everyone to stop all assumptions and let the family grieve. He wrote:
everybody just shut tf up .. cause first she was dumped .. then she wasn’t dumped & now the girl done faked her death … everybody a cousin & aunty like wtf .. and if this is a lie why would someone play with life as precious as it is.. as if we don’t lose mfs cruelty everyday 🙄🙏🏾 ima continue to pray until we kno wtf the truth is tho 🤦🏾♂️

Jessica Dix, who knew her from work as a nurse helper, said she was great and prayed for the kids. Asha Paige called her funny from middle school and sent love to the Ridgell family. Dee Williams cried a lot and called her little sister.
Thus far, details surrounding her funeral and memorial services have yet to be published by her family.
During this ordeal, we pray for her kids, friends, and extended family.
