Shooting guard Cade Cunningham drew inspiration from his athletic parents, especially his father, who played college basketball.

In a January 13, 2025, game at Madison Square Garden, Cade Cunningham led the Detroit Pistons to a 124-119 road win over the New York Knicks.

Despite a challenging first half where Cunningham picked up four fouls and scored only seven points, he exploded for 29 of his 36 points in the second half.

He gave an impressive 18-point third quarter, helping the Pistons overcome a halftime deficit and take control of the game.

It was a crucial performance from Cunningham to seal the deal in securing the Pistons’ seventh win in their last eight games, improving to 21-19 for the season. This remarkable win has undoubtedly made his mom and dad prouder than ever.
