Devin McCourty grew up with an elder brother, Larry White, and a twin brother, Jason McCourty.
All three brothers played football at some point in their life.
While the twins pursued a career in football, the eldest one started serving in the army.
Moreover, they are very supportive of one another and inspire each other.
Devin McCourty, born August 13, 1987, is an American former professional football player who played 13 seasons with the New England Patriots of the NFL.
He attended Saint Joseph Regional High School and later enrolled at Rutgers University as a two-star recruit.
As one of the best cornerback prospects coming out of college, McCourty started his NFL journey after the Patriots selected him in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Throughout his professional career, he won three Super Bowls and earned some honorable mentions, including two-time Pro Bowl and three-time Second-team All-Pro.
Devin McCourty Brother: Jason McCourty And Larry White
Larry, 53, is the eldest among the three. The twin brothers, Devin and Jason, pursued a career in football, but Larry took a different career path.
The three brothers share a very good bond with each other.
And as they lost their father when Devin and Jason were 3, Larry was the fatherly figure to his younger brothers.
Larry White Served For The Country
Being the oldest of the three, Larry White is very supportive of his brothers.
Interestingly, Larry also played football during his high school days at Nyack High. However, he wasn’t as focused and determined to pursue a football career.
So, after high school, Larry joined the Army and fought for his country in Desert Storm (Gulf War).
After returning from the war, he became a changed man and started working at a car dealership.
Moreover, Larry looks up to his younger brothers, who have always been there for him.
He said, “I look up to them. They are great husbands, fathers, and brothers than the athletes they are.”
Jason McCourty Also Played Football
Jason Devon McCourty, Devin’s twin brother, is a former American football player who played 13 seasons in the NFL.
He attended Rutgers University, where he played football and graduated with a degree in information technology.
Jason’s NFL journey began as the sixth-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in the 2009 NFL Draft.
Later, the Super Bowl LIII winner played as a cornerback for the Cleveland Browns (2017), New England Patriots (2018-2020), and Miami Dolphins (2021).
Jason is married and lives with his wife, Melissa, and three kids; Liana, Kaiden, and Kai.
The Only Twins To Play In The Super Bowl
Ahead of the 2018 season, Jason was traded to the Patriots, along with a 2018 seventh-round pick for New England’s 2018 sixth-round pick.
Jason started as the number two cornerback for the Patriots and finished the season with 82 tackles (59 solo), one interception, four passes defended, and one forced fumble.
The Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl LVII, defeating the Chargers in the Divisional playoffs and the Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
The McCourty brothers were the first twin to play in the Super Bowl and also the first twin teammates in the NFL.
Moreover, the Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3, where both the McCourty brothers played well.
