The tragic death of Greg Lowry, a standout cross-country athlete from Dickson High School in Ardmore, Oklahoma, has left the local community heartbroken.

The promising young student was killed in a car accident over the weekend, along with another Dickson Public Schools student, in a devastating single-vehicle crash that claimed two young lives.

According to reports from local news outlets, the incident occurred on Saturday near Ardmore, with the vehicle leaving the roadway under circumstances still under investigation by authorities, including the Ardmore Police Department.

Details remain limited, but the crash resulted in fatalities, and the vehicle was reportedly engulfed in flames upon responders’ arrival.

The Dickson Public Schools district confirmed the loss in a heartfelt statement, noting that while full details have not yet been released, the community is reeling from the news.
