DJ Hayden’s parents, Derek and Tori Hayden, were his source of inspiration that pushed him to his NFL success.
The sports world is saddened by the loss of DJ Hayden, a former Raiders cornerback, who had had a nine-year career in the NFL.
He passed away at the age of 33 on Saturday in a car accident, along with five others in a collision caused by a car running a red light near a freeway at approximately 2 a.m. local time.
The Oakland Raiders drafted Hayden as the No. 12 overall pick in the 2013 draft, and he played with the team for four seasons before joining the Detroit Lions in 2017.
Following his tenure with the Raiders, Hayden had a three-year stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2018 to 2020.
His final season in the NFL was in 2021, during which he played one game with the Washington Commanders.
Throughout his career, Hayden participated in a total of 92 games, contributing 328 combined tackles, 46 pass breakups, and four interceptions.

The former NFL star, DJ Hayden, was born to his father, Derek, and mother, Tori Hayden, on June 27, 1990, in Houston, Texas.
Both of his parents were extremely supportive of his career. They were often present during his games and were proud of his journey.
Father Derrek went to Justin F. Kimball High School and is from Dallas, Texas. Known for his charisma, Derrek was a big fan of football, which later transferred to his son.
He often took him to practice and also taught him his basic skills.
On the other hand, DJ learned about love and care from his mother, Tori. Often described as a kind soul by her son, Tori was always his number one fan.
