Dorell Wright’s wife, Mia Lee, has been working as a CSR manager for Buttah Skin by Dor for the past two years.
Mia was born on November 29, 1984, and is a year older than her husband. She studied political science and government at San Diego State University and is highly active on social media.
Since 2016, Mia has been highly active in the sports world and her husband’s foundation, Wright Legacy.
Mia began the groundwork for Wright Legacy in 2016, and the non-profit organization was established a year later.
Mia is the chief brand officer and founding president of the National Basketball Wives Association, the charitable membership organization established in 2016. NBWA works towards galvanizing women and building strong communities for families and women.
The wives of the NBA and NBA G-League are involved with the non-profit organization. Previously, NBWA partnered with The American Cancer Society to battle against cancer.
In a video shared by The American Cancer Society in 2021, the basketball couple, Mia and Dorell, talked about how African-Americans only make up 2% of cancer grant applications. With their partnership, they wanted to shed light on the ongoing problem.
Dorell And Mia Are Parents To Two Kids
Dorell and Mia Wright’s relationship began in 2006, and two years later, they became parents to a baby boy named Devin Wright.
The earliest pictures of the couple on their Instagram date back to 2011. A picture of the family of three is the first post Mia shared on her Instagram handle.
Since then, the couple has shown affection for each other by publicly sharing snaps of their date nights to Mia attending Dorell’s games on their respective Instagram.
After eight years of knowing each other, the former Miami Heat player got down on one knee in April 2014. It was a surprise proposal Dorell organized with the help of his friends.
After completing their magazine photoshoot for LA Confidential, Mia was ready to return home. But right at the end, Dorell popped the big question to his longtime girlfriend.
Their engagement was short-lived as the couple tied the knot and became Mr. and Mrs. Wright. The wedding came five months after the proposal in August.
Since then, the couple has been going strong in their relationship and has raised two sons, with their eldest ready to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Devin And Dash Are Their Bundles Of Joy
Devin Wright, the oldest son of Dorell and Mia, was born on February 25, 2008.
Devin’s talent was known to the basketball community when he was only four.
The former NBA player Nate Robinson shared a video of Devin lighting up a youth basketball league on his Instagram handle in 2014.
Now as a 16-year-old, Devin has the same plan in the Nike EYBL. The oldest son of Dorell stars for the team WhyNot and has already received supportive messages from Dwyane Wade.
Dorell and Mia’s youngest son, Dash Wright, was born on May 17, 2015. He previously appeared in the NBC Sports Bay Area show, where his dad worked as a studio analyst.
