Kauryn Rose, a rising Texas track star, was severely injured in a tragic shooting incident and is currently hospitalized in critical condition, bravely fighting through recovery.
Before a tragic incident shook her life, Kauryn Rose was already making her mark as a rising track star in Texas.
Competing for the Dragons Youth Track and Field Club, she raced in the 200-meter finals at the Mainland Jaguars Track Meet on May 3, 2025, recording a time of 26.63 seconds.
At just 15 years old, she placed sixth and earned three points for her team under competitive conditions at Bulldog Stadium in Hitchcock, Texas.
Beyond track, she is a passionate athlete who shines in flag football and basketball.
Additionally, she isn’t just a gifted athlete on the field or court; she is also passionate about dance.
Kauryn Rose Is Receiving Treatment For Her Injuries!
Kauryn Rose, 15, is a bright and hardworking teenager who loves school and sports.
On July 20, 2025, she was shot in the chest and pelvis during a party in Harris County and was severely hurt.
The party was meant to be a fun birthday celebration, but it quickly turned violent when gunfire broke out.
Her two sisters and friends didn’t wait for an ambulance; they drove Kauryn to the hospital themselves, holding her the whole way.
After rushing Kauryn to the hospital, Kaylee, one of her sisters, described the experience as terrifying and surreal, saying:
Watching my baby sister go through this seeing her fight to heal it’s the hardest thing we’ve ever experienced. But she’s strong. So strong. And she’s still here. Still fighting.
She held her sister in her arms, screaming her name and asking questions to keep her awake during the drive.
Doctors later told the family that if Kaylee hadn’t acted so quickly, Kauryn’s chances of surviving would have been very low.
The medical team confirmed that her fast arrival made a life-saving difference.
Kauryn is now being treated for her injuries, and while her recovery will be long and difficult, her family is focused on helping her heal physically, emotionally, and mentally.
To help with her recovery, Kauryn’s sister created the GoFundMe campaign “For Kauryn Rose: A Young Life Changed by Violence.”
The money raised will be used to cover medical bills, therapy, and any other expenses Kauryn may incur during this challenging time.
Kauryn’s family, neighbors, and countless well-wishers are surrounding her with prayers and love.
