Moreover, he lived courageously and unapologetically.

Josh was a lifelong Seeker who was drawn to the wisdom of all traditions. Questing for deeper understandings, he immersed himself in the Bhagavad Gita, Sutras, Apocrypha, Emerald Tablets, and the Bible.

Joshua, you look a little bit like Mr Rogers with your sweater jacket. I absolutely love it. Very mid-western chic!!

Lynn Obermeier

The center of Josh’s world was his ten-year-old daughter, Eleanor Lynn. She embodies the best of her father: an empathetic heart, the ability to love unconditionally, and the ability to forgive people.

His greatest joy was being by her side, watching her grow into the remarkable young lady she is. They shared a deep love for basketball, played together, attended Bucks games, and talked hoops endlessly.

Similarly, they loved playing video games, watching movies, having summer water balloon fights, and more.

Josh is survived by his daughter, Eleanor Lynn Schlicht; brother, Collin Schlicht; mother, Lynn Obermeier; father, Thomas Schlicht; sisters, cousins, and a vast community of family and friends whom he loved fiercely.

On the other hand, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mae Obermeier, and Robert and Janet Schlicht, and his uncle, Joel Obermeier.

The Schlicht family will hold a private gathering and celebrate his remarkable life.

Rest In Peace, Joshua Joseph Schlicht.
