Dwyane Wade sister, Tragil Wade, an influential figure, has been an unwavering support and guidance behind the NBA star.

Tragil Wade is a versatile individual with multiple titles, including motivational speaker, minister, author, coach, and entrepreneur.

She grew up with siblings in an extended family, which taught her the passion for nurturing, equipping, and educating youth.

Tragil Wade, a dedicated family caregiver, understood the value of youth literacy.

Likewise, it led her to pursue a doctorate in Humanism to better advocate for educational empowerment.

Tragil was born and raised with his brother Dwayne Wade on the south side of Chicago to her parents, JoLinda and Dwyane Wade Sr.

After her parents’ separation, her mother, JoLinda, was given custody of her two children.

But unfortunately, JoLinda struggled with drug addiction and often went to prison for the crimes.

Interestingly, even at the age of eight, Tragil had a clever understanding, and she once tricked Dwayne into thinking they were going to the movies, only to take him to live with his father and stepmother.

Tragil’s move gave the sibling a better life and a future to look up to.

Married & Mother Of Two Kids

Tragil Wade is married; she lives in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband, Edward Johnson.

The two married on March 20, 2020, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. She is the mother of two children: Areyonna and Prince, from her husband’s previous relationship.

Tragil Wade, the resilient sister of Dwyane Wade, defied their fate and chose a meaningful path.

Wade started her higher academic journey with San Diego City College and then went to Chicago State for Psychology and Elementary Education degree.

Later, in 2006, Tragil became the Executive Director of Wade’s World Foundation; under her leadership, the organization raised over $3.4 million.

In 2017, she launched her organization as a 501(c)3, America’s Big Sisters Foundation. Its mission is to support youth nationwide to live above difficult circumstances. 

The same year, she achieved the Survivors Stroll Award (Hosana4youth) and Dr. Rita Marley Ambassador Award (Female Development World Organization) the following year.

Not only that, but Tragil also has achieved an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism (2021) from the Global International Alliance Advocate University and Life Coach Certification (2022).

Dr. Tragil is a passionate speaker who shares her story to inspire others to live their dreams.

She usually delivers her speeches in schools, youth groups, ministries, conferences, retreats, and special events.

During this, the speech mainly includes the topics such as “Live to Dream – Accessing your full potential, and In the Waiting Room – How to wait without losing hope.”

The list goes further with “Take Flight – Keys to Success and Empower Youth – Steps to Effective Mentorship.”

Through her efforts and tips, Tragil desires to change the narrative of youth with similar challenges.
