A student-athlete at Edinburg High School, Sebastian Garcia, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Sebastian was a member of the Edinburgh Runnin’ Bobcats basketball Program and Golf Team.
He was the son of Coach Garcia, who coached boys’ basketball for over 26 years.
During Thanksgiving week of his senior year, after experiencing some pain in his knee, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
At the age of 18, he started his cancer journey and continued to fight for over five years.
During that time, he went through countless procedures and operations.
