Guardian Harper, a student-athlete from El Cerrito High School, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident.

Guardian Harper Was A Multi-Sport Athlete!

Guardian Harper was a student-athlete from El Cerrito High School in California.

He played football and competed in track and field, showcasing his athleticism across multiple sports.

He had a diverse and accomplished football journey, playing for multiple teams throughout his high school and college career.

His high school football career began at Benicia High School, where he played junior varsity from 2020 to 2024, wearing the #10 jersey and excelling as both an outside linebacker (OLB) and a running back (RB).

He later advanced to Benicia’s varsity football team, competing from 2021 to 2023.

During his time at El Cerrito High School, he joined the boys’ varsity football team, playing from 2021 to the present, further strengthening his skills on the field.

His commitment to football continued at American River College, where he joined the men’s varsity football team in 2024.

He played as a middle linebacker (MLB) in football and was part of the Class of 2024.

In football, he was listed as a 5’11”, 215-pound athlete, and he had highlights from his 2023 senior season.

On the flip side, he also recorded times of 11.92 seconds in the 100 meters and 25.15 seconds in the 200 meters in track and field.

His athleticism and dedication made him a standout competitor, and his performances were recognized in various competitions.

His football highlights and track results demonstrate his dedication to sports and his athletic potential.

Harper’s untimely passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community that knew and supported him.

As a dedicated athlete and teammate, he made a lasting impact on those around him, and his absence is profoundly felt.

His Benicia High School teacher, Scott Swartz, paid tribute to him and said:

Lost a great kid last night — Guardian Harper.
