Gregg Burke is a Rhode Island native born in Warwick and lives in North Providence.
He attended Pilgrim High School and, in 1940, pursued a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the College of Holy Cross.
After graduation, he served as a Graduate Assistant at Boston College and an Assistant Director of Sports Information at the University of Michigan.
He also served as the Sports Information Director at Holy Cross Athletics for five years, from April 1982 to October 1987. After that, he became the associate director of athletics at Providence College.
While involved in all these organizations, he did not neglect his studies. In 1998, he earned a Master’s of Education at Providence.
It also served as the Vice President of the International Basketball League from April 2000 to January 2002.
