After graduation, he served as a Graduate Assistant at Boston College and an Assistant Director of Sports Information at the University of Michigan.

He also served as the Sports Information Director at Holy Cross Athletics for five years, from April 1982 to October 1987. After that, he became the associate director of athletics at Providence College.
