Broadway is getting ready for a big moment as the original cast of Hamilton reunites to celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary at the 78th Annual Tony Awards on June 8, 2025.
But one missing face has caught fans’ attention- Anthony Ramos, who first played John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, won’t be part of the reunion.
The actor also participated in wrestling during his time at New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, New York.
He was involved in both baseball and wrestling before discovering his passion for acting.
In his junior year, friends encouraged him to try out for a talent show, which led him to land the lead role in a student-produced play.
This performance caught the attention of his drama teacher, Sara Steinweiss, who encouraged him to pursue acting further.

After doing a quick Google search, she realized he was Anthony Ramos and saw that he was engaged.
The video quickly went viral, and many people believed it might have played a role in their split.
Although neither of them spoke much about what happened, fans picked up on the clues and made their own assumptions.
