Oklahoma City Community Mourns Dentist and Former OCU Baseball Standout Christian Pilgrim, Survived by Wife Elizabeth and Three Children

Oklahoma City community mourns the untimely death of beloved Doctor and former athlete, Christian Pilgrim.

Christian Pilgrim passed away earlier this week, leaving his family and loved ones devastated. He was in his early 50s.

While his family hasn’t yet disclosed the actual cause of his untimely death, many of Christian Pilgrim’s loved ones are sharing his memories on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

One wrote:

“Terribly sad to hear of the passing of Christian Pilgrim. He was one of the best people I’ve ever known and he was my friend. You’ll be missed Pil.”

“With tear filled eyes… I miss you Christian Pilgrim There will never be anyone that can or will fill your shoes. You meant so much to so very many people. We will struggle to continue the business you poured your whole heart into. You told us so many times.. I trust you girls, you know what to do. The part we don’t get or even want, is to do it without YOU!!!! The decisions we make we hope we make you proud as we were so proud of you. We Love you Chris (Dr Pil) ♥️”

Christian Pilgrim touched the lives of many with his amazing athletic skills and his contribution to the community as a great doctor.

A native of Oklahoma City, Christian attended Westmoore High School, where he excelled in multiple sports, including softball and baseball, and led his team in several victories throughout his tenure.

Likewise, he continued his athletic career at Oklahoma City University on a baseball scholarship and played for the men’s baseball team.

Although Pilgrim didn’t continue his career in sports, he was able to win the hearts of many in the community as an exceptional dentist.

Late Christian Pilgrim Had Over 24 Years of Experience in Medical Field

In addition to being an amazing athlete, Dr. Christian Heath Pilgrim, was a respected dentist, military veteran.

Dr. Pilgrim devoted over two decades to dentistry.

He earned his DDS from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center / School of Dentistry in 2001 and built a distinguished career providing dental care at his own clinic Dr. Christian Pilgrim and Pilgrim Dental in Oklahoma City’s Asian District.

Known for his expertise in teeth whitening, implant dentistry, gum disease treatment, and other dental services, he helped countless patients maintain healthy smiles throughout his 24-year career.

Beyond his dental practice, Dr. Pilgrim served his country with honor. He spent 13 years in the Army Reserves, including a deployment to Iraq, and continued his service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Oklahoma Air Guard.

In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, mountain biking, and listening to the Foo Fighters.

Christian Pilgrim’s contribution to the Oklahoma community as an Army veteran, dentist and a former athlete will always be remembered.

Dr. Christian Pilgrim is survived by his longtime wife, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Pilgrim, his three kids, Ella, Paige and Asher and the entire family.

His family will soon provide the details about his funeral and memorial services.
