Angela Suggs, the Athletic Director at Florida A&M University, was arrested on June 9 for allegedly using a company credit card for personal expenses while working at her previous job.

Authorities say she spent more than $24,000 on things like casino visits, wire transfers, and cash withdrawals during work trips.

Suggs, 55, turned herself in and was released after posting a $13,500 bond.

In response, people are saying they stand with Angela Suggs because they know her heart and history.

I stand with Angie. If there was anybody who bleeds orange and green it’s AD Suggs also known as Angie. Watched her give her dad Ben the business daily and wring money out of his pockets.
She would never do anything to put FAMU in harms way

The question is “Why Now?” Who benefits from the charges levied. May Angie be vindicated.

Through Love, Teamwork, And Tough Times, Angela And Davin Suggs Stand Strong Together

Right now, Angela Suggs’ husband, Davin, is probably feeling hurt, protective, and standing strong by her side like he always has.

Angela and Davin Suggs are a couple who have successfully balanced high-pressure careers with a busy family life.

Angela, formerly the President and CEO of the Florida Sports Foundation, and Davin, Deputy Executive Director and Legislative Director at the Florida Association of Counties, both work in roles that impact all 67 counties in Florida.

Married for 20 years, Angela and Davin prioritize their relationship by carving out time for each other, even when their schedules get hectic.

One of their earliest decisions was to always stop working at the same time, even if just for an hour, to reconnect.

Angela shared advice to treat your spouse with the same patience you would give a friend, as if they were late or canceled plans; one should be understanding.

Though Valentine’s Day and anniversaries are often disrupted by work, they find joy in simple moments like sharing a home-cooked meal.

Davin proudly praises Angela’s cooking, calling her dishes “out of sight,” with no recipes needed.

With birthdays on August 4 (Davin) and August 5 (Angela), they chose August 6 for their wedding, creating a three-day celebration they now joke leaves them exhausted by the time their anniversary arrives.

In 2023, Angela Suggs shared that she and her husband, Davin, had their first date in December 2003 and got married in August 2004.

She celebrated 19 years of marriage, looking forward to a lifetime more together.

Love at first sight. First date Dec 2003. Married August 2004. 19 years down – a lifetime to go!
