At the Suda Butler High School basketball jamboree, chaos erupted when a group of girls attempted to fight another student.

Despite security stepping in to break up the altercation, the students ignored their presence, continued throwing objects, and escalated the situation.

The incident not only disrupted the event but also raised serious safety concerns, as some of the students involved were not enrolled at Butler.

Outside Students Spark a Dangerous Fight, Creating Chaos and Raising Serious Safety Concerns!

Jason English Sr. shared a video of the fight on Facebook, calling out the school for failing to address the incident properly.

In his post, he wrote:

Suda Butler HS yall got some explaining to do 😒… Some of these students didn’t attend your school and you put other kids at risk not having a rule set in place for outside students to attend with an adult. This bullying stuff has gotten out of control and JCPS is just letting this shit happen left and right across the city smh….

He highlighted that Butler should be held accountable for anyone entering during events.

His focus was on urging JCPS to adopt stricter rules across all school events to prevent similar incidents.

Moreover, he concluded by noting that a parent had asked him to post the video since no one was held responsible.

In his post, people quickly shared their perspectives, highlighting their own frustrations and concerns.

One commenter said,

The fact that kids don’t even give a f**k about security/police figures being present shows how doomed they are foreal!!!

Another shared their point of view, saying,

I’m sure the kids will be dealt with. A cop was there, paid to handle this type of thing. But you really can’t do anything to kids or it’s an outcry. Parents needs to get their kids in order first, and foremost.

Others defended the school, highlighting their perspective by saying,

It has never been needed before. They had security there. The school didn’t do anything wrong. This is on the parents and the kids. This happens all over the city.

These reactions reflect a divided community: some blaming the system, others pointing to parental responsibility, and many expressing worry about the growing disregard for authority among students.

These types of bullying must be stopped, and authorities cannot be the only ones concerned.

Parents also need to be more cautious about their children, whether they are bullying others or becoming victims themselves.
