Entrepreneur and fitness trainer Clayton Kellum’s son, Clayton Kellum Jr., passed away in October 2025 at the age of 22.

Thus far, details about what happened to Clayton Jr. haven’t been fully disclosed.

Clayton Kellum Jr. was survived by his parents, Clayton Sr. and Candise, and his younger twins, born just a few years back.

A GoFundMe page went up quickly, asking for help with those costs.

Father Clayton Sr. took to his Facebook to express his gratitude for the love and support they’ve been receiving. He wrote:

I have nothing but heart ache and unending tears man because the unimaginable has happened. I don’t have words and even making this post drowns me but I want to use this platform to one thank the countless people, family, friends, even people who may not have known my son or barely even know me but have shown love and support that I also couldn’t imagine

The bright young trainer, Clayton Kellum Jr, had followed right in his dad’s footsteps at Built Fitness.

His dad, Clayton Kellum Sr., built that gym from the ground up in Downingtown, transforming it into a genuine community hub where people push their limits and support one another.

Kellum Jr. started working alongside his dad at the gym. He helped members with their routines and shared that same drive as his father.

In 2021, Built Fitness was featured in the local newspapers. It highlighted how the place thrived even during the tough pandemic days.

During that time, Clayton Jr. was right there. He trained clients and built bonds as part of a team that included names like Brandon Smith and Tyrone Butler.

His dad, a former All-American athlete who’d turned his life around after prison time, often spoke with pride about his eldest son stepping up in that way.

But their life turned upside down in a split second after Clayton Jr. took his last breath.#

To honor Clayton Jr., a memorial lantern release is being held this Thursday, October 16th, at 7:15 p.m.

Clayton Sr. made it clear in the post, writing:

All and I mean all are welcome to come and remember someone so special to us who is gone too soon. Remembering Clayton, embracing your own children and family a little tighter and cherishing every moment you have! Come, REPOST, bring a loved one but come‼️

Clayton Sr

During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of Kellum’s parents, siblings, friends, and extended family.

Rest In Heavenly Peace, Clayton Kellum Jr.!
