Head coach Todd Golden and Megan York have been married for 10 years. They’ve been together through all the highs and lows, including Todd facing serious allegations of sexual harassment.
Todd Golden‘s wife, Megan York, was born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 23, 1989, to her parents, Michael and Joanna York. She is a former collegiate volleyball player.
A Ronald Reagan High School player, Megan took her talent to Saint Mary’s College in California, where she played volleyball and shined as an outside hitter.
It was during the time at Saint Mary’s that Megan met Todd Golden, who was a basketball player for the men’s team.
Megan and Todd’s romance began during their college days, and their shared passion for sports brought them closer.
After college, Todd played professional basketball in Israel for Maccabi Haifa, and Megan stood by him.
When he switched to coaching, moving from Columbia to Auburn and then to San Francisco, she supported him every step of the way.
In 2022, Todd became the head coach of the Florida Gators, bringing the family to Gainesville, Florida.
Megan and Todd married in a private ceremony on May 31, 2014. They’ve been together for 10 years.
They have two kids: a son, Jacob Michael, born in May 2016, and a daughter, Madison Leigh, born in 2018.

In an interview, Megan once shared how their athletic backgrounds help them understand each other. She said:
We were both so dedicated to our sports, but there was some kind of unspoken understanding between us. We knew what it meant to be successful, and that bonded us.
The 2024-2025 season brought both highs and lows for Todd. Early on, he faced serious allegations of sexual harassment and stalking in a Title IX complaint filed with the University of Florida.
The investigation lasted months, casting a shadow over his success. In January 2025, the university closed the case, finding no evidence to support the claims.
Through it all, Megan stayed by his side, quietly supporting him as he coached the Gators to a 36-4 record and a national championship appearance.
In a rare moment, Todd Golden once told an interviewer, “Megan is my rock. She keeps our family grounded, and I just couldn’t do what I do without her.”
