Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has recently made headlines by praising President Donald Trump, saying, “he’s the best president in my eyes.”
Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s comment came during an interview with Fox Business, during which he wholeheartedly admired Trump’s leadership and influence on the economy.
The interview began with Fox Business Network financial journalist Charles Payne, introducing Mayweather as “the most financially successful boxer, ” with an estimated net worth of $400 million.
Charles Payne reminisced about their last interview a decade ago during Mayweather’s last fight.
He then proceeded to walk down Mayweather’s career lane, praising how the boxer successfully transitioned from the boxing ring to the business world.
No wonder Mayweather Jr. has crafted a successful career off the ring in the business world.
Mayweather owns several businesses, including Mayweather Promotions, TMT Racing, TMT Clothing, Philthy Rich Records, Girl Collection, and Shots.

The legend then attributed his success to his great teamwork and his dedication. He emphasized the importance of surrounding himself with intelligent and capable people, saying,

From his business, the conversation then shifted to Mayweather’s opinion on Donald Trump. Charles asked Mayweather for his perspective as an emerging Manhattan real estate mogul on fellow mogul Donald Trump.
Mayweather lauded Trump, saying,
We had Trump before, but we didn’t appreciate him. But I think Trump is a great president.

During the interview, Mayweather emphasized that Trump is the very right man for the job and has done an amazing job during his presidency.
The boxer also highlighted his belief that Trump has had a positive impact on the country despite the criticism he has faced.
Well, his praise for Trump doesn’t come as a complete surprise for Mayweather had already defended Trump’s controversial remarks stating that Trump “speaks like a real man.“
In November 2016, Mayweather and Trump were in New York. The boxer was promoting a January 14th middleweight fight at the Barclays Center while Trump was busy hiring members of his administration.
During their meeting, the two posed for a photo alongside Donald Trump Jr., sparking speculation about the nature of their friendship.
Trump also previously attended Floyd Mayweather’s fights, including the 2015 bout against Manny Pacquiao.
