Following The Chicago Bears’ Crushing Defeat, Disappointed Fans Erupted In ‘Sell The Team’ Chants!

This article was last updated by on

Last Thursday’s Bears vs. Seahawks match became a breaking point for the fans, who started chanting ‘sell the team’ throughout the game and the postgame show.

The NFL has never failed to enchant fans with its iconic players and matches. Hence, the league has built a strong foundation that has withstood the test of time.

The year 2024 commemorated the 104th anniversary of the NFL with endless historic and epic matches, record-breaking scores, and memorable touchdowns.

However, the 26th December 2024 match against the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks made a terrible impression in front of fans.

The highly anticipated match failed to meet sports enthusiasts’ expectations, landing on one of the most boring NFL match lists.

Both Chicago Bears And Seattle Seahawks Failed To Deliver A Stellar Performance!

Many have described the Bears vs. Seahawks game as the NFL’s worst of the 2024 season. The Seattle Seahawks won a low-scoring football game against the Chicago Bears, 6-3.

Hence, this signifies that neither team scored a touchdown, a feat that is traditionally the most thrilling moment of a football game.

On the contrary, the Seahawks scored by kicking the ball twice through the goalposts, a move known as a field goal, which is worth three points each.

Likewise, the Bears only managed to kick one field goal, totaling three points.

The game wasn’t thrilling to watch since both teams struggled to move the ball down the field and make significant plays.

Therefore, the match was a humiliating defeat for the Bears, as they succumbed 6-3 to the Seahawks on Thursday night at Soldier Field despite 13 punts and no touchdowns.

Neither quarterback Geno Smith of the Seahawks nor Caleb Williams of the Bears could throw for 100 yards in the first half.

Therefore, the game highlighted how short rest hampers team performance.

The Bears’ offensive line stumbled, resulting in Williams soaking up several sacks, while the team’s clock management was awful.

While the Seahawks’ victory keeps their playoff hopes alive, they will need backing from other teams to make the playoffs.

Bears fans endured the cold and rain to witness two poor teams throw incompletions and exchange field goals at the end of a demoralizing season that began with tremendous anticipation.

While The Bears Were Having A Bad Season From The Get-go, Last Thursday’s Match Became A Breaking Point For The Fans!

However, the Chicago Bears’ constant subpar performances this season have disappointed the fans beyond imaginable.

Before losing against the Seahawks, the Bears struggled the entire 2024 season. They had a 4-11 record, having lost nine straight games before this matchup.

The drop came after an impressive 4-2 start, indicating a substantial midseason collapse.

After the head coach, Matt Eberflus, was fired on November 29, 2024, the team started to struggle.

Therefore, this came after a 4-8 record, making him the first head coach in team history to be sacked midseason.

Then, the team hired Thomas Brown as interim head coach. However, he was unable to stop the losing streak.

Despite the team’s struggles, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams stood out. He completed 326 straight throw attempts without an interception.

Furthermore, Williams was the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He is also a former Heisman Trophy winner.

Nonetheless, the Bears’ offensive line experienced severe issues, with Williams being the team’s most-sacked quarterback in the 2024 season.

The Bears’ offensive issues were apparent. They became the first NFL team to lose after surrendering six points or less since the Raiders’ 3-0 defeat to the Vikings in 1971.

Since the 2024 NFL season approaches its end, the Bears still could not recover from their poor performances.

Hence, last Thursday’s match became a breaking point for the fans, who started chanting ‘sell the team’ throughout the game and the postgame show.

Fans urged the McCaskey family to sell the franchise during and after the game.

The Chicago fans expressed their desire for the family to sell the team to anybody who understands how to lead a winning team.

Moreover, the fans were screaming at the top of their lungs for the team to be sold.

The whole experience must have been humiliating and disheartening for a once-proud organization to hear from a national streaming audience.
