Janessa Bogdanovich, a former high school football player, suffered a sudden medical emergency and passed away at the age of 27 in November 2025.
She worked as an Executive Accounting Specialist at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for almost 4 years.
Janessa Bogdanovich’s story begins on the high school football field, where she played alongside her friends, Hannah Kleimenhagen, Kayla Beistline, and Amanda Black.
After high school, she pursued higher education at Penn State University. She built a strong academic foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Criminal Justice.
She continued her studies to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Her career path has been built on this diverse knowledge. She gained valuable experience in various accounting roles, including internal audit, unclaimed property, tax, and accounts payable and receivable.
She had a clear goal to become a forensic accountant.
This Thanksgiving is harder than others, as this brought the true meaning of Thanksgiving as I could ever imagine. Heaven has gained a beautiful, fun-loving angel, Janessa Bogdanovich.
