Darius Miles faces a capital murder charge related to the January 2023 shooting death of Jamea Harris near the University of Alabama campus.

He has been accused of aiding and abetting his friend Michael Davis, who was convicted of capital murder in May 2025. Darius’ trial is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2025, as set by Tuscaloosa Judge Daniel F. Pruet.

Throughout this challenging period, his parents have been visibly involved in supporting him.
