Landry Fields, once a promising NBA player and later the general manager of the Atlanta Hawks, was fired; despite this setback, his wife Elaine and kids continue to have his back, like always.
In April 2025, the Atlanta Hawks parted ways with their general manager, Landry Fields, after three seasons and limited playoff success.
Landry Fields joined the organization in 2020 as an assistant general manager and was promoted to general manager ahead of the 2022-23 season.
He oversaw a roster that made the playoffs just once during his tenure. The team failed to qualify for the postseason in the last two seasons, most recently falling to the Miami Heat in this year’s play-in tournament.
The Atlanta Hawks announced the exclusive news, which reads:
We also announced that Landry Fields has been relieved of his duties as general manager, and Onsi Saleh has been promoted to general manager of the Atlanta Hawks.

Amid this quick and unexpected decision from the organization, one thing’s for sure: his wife, Elaine Alden, always stood by him like a rock.
Meanwhile, the couple’s social accounts are private to avoid further media scrutiny.
Landry Fields and Elaine Alden Have Been Together For Over A Decade!
The married couple of 10 years, Landry and Elaine, first crossed paths in New York City at an electronic dance music (EDM) concert.
As clichéd as it sounds, initially, Landry was reluctant to attend; however, like they were meant to be, he went to the concert where he met his future wife.
At the time, Landry played for the New York Knicks, and Elaine was a successful model.
Landry recalled their first meeting in Inside Weddings, saying, “blown away by her beauty.”
A mutual friend introduced them, and Elaine loved Landry’s sense of humor, especially a joke from the movie “Dumb & Dumber.” The couple hit it off right away and started dating in June 2012.

Fast forward to February 2013, Landry proposed to Elaine on February 13, 2013, in a creative and heartfelt way. During a trip to New York for a Raptors-Knicks game, the couple went to a photo booth.
Elaine later shared with Weddingbells that she saw a photo strip already printed of Landry holding signs that said, “Will you marry me?” When she turned around, Landry was kneeling with a beautiful halo engagement ring.
She shared her joy on Instagram, writing, “I’m so happy to announce my engagement to the man of my dreams!!! Best day ever!!!”
Around this time, Elaine revealed she was pregnant with their first child. Hence, before their wedding, Landry and Elaine welcomed their son, Jackson James Fields, on August 6, 2013.

Almost a year later, Landry and Elaine tied the knot on July 14, 2014, at the 620 Loft & Garden atop Rockefeller Center in New York City, overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Their first dance was to David Grey’s “This Year’s Love,” and their son Jackson, then one, stole the show as the ring bearer, pulled down the aisle in a wagon with a sign reading, “Here Comes My Mommy.”
Later, Elaine and Landry welcomed their second son, Kai David Fields, in 2016.
After that, Elaine’s focus shifted further toward raising their boys, while Landry transitioned from playing to a scouting role with the San Antonio Spurs.
