An exceptional bowler with a 180 pin average, Glenda Lee MeCoy died on Friday.
Glenda was born February 28, 1931, in Chicago, the daughter of Howard and Leila (Arends) Rachey. She graduated from Amboy High School in 1949.
Glenda was an exceptional bowler with a 180-pin average in her prime.
She would never turn down a trip to Las Vegas, a good game of Euchre, or even a stroll downtown to the slot machines at 90 years old. She was also known to run a good sports pool.

Glenda Lee McCoy of Amboy passed away at home on Friday, September 5, 2025. The cause of death has not been revealed.
Close relatives and friends have poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Glenda’s family, encouraging them to stay strong during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, with a memorial service at 6:30 PM.
Cremation rites have been accorded with the burial of cremains at a later date at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. A memorial has been established.

Glenda Lee McCoy Was Married To Her Husband, Lee McCoy
In 1958, Glenda married Lee McCoy, who passed away in 1982.
Glenda and her husband had a daughter named Cindy, who has been married to Dan Anderson of Amboy.
She also had a stepson named James, who was married to Joy McCoy.
They are mourning the loss of their supportive and devoted mother, Glenda Lee McCoy.
