Kip Crofts Arrested, Currently In Custody At The Canyon County Jail!
Kip Crofts is a former high school football coach and educator with over 30 years of coaching experience across several Idaho schools.
He was hired as the head varsity football coach at Caldwell High School in 2023.
Previously, he coached at Payette, Meridian, Bishop Kelly, and Eagle High Schools, and played college football at Boise State.
As of June 25, 2025, Crofts was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a child under 16.
The arrest was carried out by the Nampa Police Department at his current job as a custodian with the City of Nampa.
This case was initiated in January 2025, when the Caldwell Police Department referred the matter to the Nampa Police Department for investigation.
The alleged abuse reportedly occurred while he was a teacher in Caldwell, and the case was initially referred to Nampa PD by Caldwell authorities earlier this year.
At the time of his arrest, Crofts was working as a custodian for the City of Nampa.
He was taken into custody at that job site and subsequently booked into the Canyon County Jail.
There’s no public indication yet of whether he has been formally dismissed from that position, but given the nature of the charges, it’s likely that his employment status is under review or has already changed.
Additionally, as of the evening of his arrest, Crofts was still listed in the Caldwell High School staff directory, but the school district had not publicly confirmed his employment status.
He is currently being held in Canyon County Jail. The charge he faces is a felony that carries a potential sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
