Sydney Ann Woods, a former volleyball player at Camdenton High School, passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 26.

Her untimely passing has left her family, friends, and community heartbroken.
Sydney Ann Woods Pursued A Different Path After Graduating!
Sydney Ann Woods, born on April 28, 1999, was a fiercely competitive and driven individual who found her passion in academics, sports, and friendships.
She was an active member of the Camdenton Lakers’ volleyball program, wearing the #28 jersey.
During her time there, she competed on both the junior varsity and varsity teams over multiple seasons.
Her name is recorded on the school’s all-time roster as “Woods, Sydney (Jr.)“ during the 2015–16 season. This highlights her role as a key player at the junior level.
Then in 2017, she graduated from Camdenton High School and pursued higher education at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies with Magna Cum Laude honors.

During her time at Mizzou, Sydney became a cherished member of the ZTA sorority, where she formed lifelong friendships.
After graduation, she moved to St. Louis and worked in the architectural field.
While she remained competitive and driven, she worked in St. Louis until her untimely passing.
Her untimely passing left an undeniable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.
Sydney is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Jennifer Woods, her sister Jordyn Moore, and her brother-in-law Cooper Moore, as well as her cherished nephew Lincoln Moore.
She also leaves behind her grandparents, Ray and Linda Woods, who were a constant source of support and love.
Sydney was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Judy Hickman, and her beloved grandmother, Ann Woods, for whom she was named.
Moreover, Sydney’s Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Freedom Church.
