Amy Blanc Lacy, a beloved mother and respected Script Supervisor in the Atlanta film community, passed away in a tragic accident on September 1, 2025.
Sadly, she was injured in a devastating car accident on Monday, September 1st.
She was riding with her sons, Adrian and Oliver, when their vehicle was struck at high speed.
While her children were treated for minor injuries and later discharged, Amy suffered critical trauma to her brain and spinal cord.
She was placed in a coma and kept on life support.
After careful consultation with medical professionals, her family made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye.
As shared by IATSE Local 161, Amy’s loved ones were invited to visit her on September 3rd and 4th.
Moreover, her body will be released from medical interventions on Friday, September 5th.
Amy Blanc Lacy Car Was a Beloved Member of the Film Community!
Amy Blanc was a well-known Script Supervisor in the Atlanta film industry and a former cheerleader.
She contributed to four major productions as a Script Supervisor, such as The Walking Dead, Loki, Halt and Catch Fire, and The Vampire Diaries.
Many people credit her for giving them their first chance in the business. She was thoughtful, loving, and brought joy to every set she worked on.
Beyond her work, Amy loved people, animals, and nature deeply, and she gave her heart to everything she did.
Amy’s passing has left a void in the heart of her family and the entire community.
She was an organ donor, and more than 46 people will receive life-saving gifts from her.
One of her friends asked for the prayers and said:
Our friend Amy Blanc Lacy was in a terrible car accident on the way to work yesterday and is in a coma.
Most of you in the film community know Amy as a Script Supervisor.
She is directly responsible for Miracole getting her first job in our industry.
Amy is loving, thoughtful, kind, and a ray of sunshine.
We hope she has a healthy and speedy recovery from this

A gathering to honor her life will be held on Saturday, September 6th, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at her home in Atlanta.
Moreover, a private green burial with her family will take place on Sunday. More celebrations of her life are planned for the future.
Moreover, there is also a GoFundMe campaign, “Help Amy Lacy’s Family Through This Difficult Time,” created by Tasha Wdowin.
The main purpose of this campaign is to support her children as they face the heartbreaking loss of their mother.
The funds will help cover funeral expenses and provide financial support for the challenging days ahead.
