Timothy Martin is survived by his wife of 35 years, Porsha, and his kids.

The respected pastor and his wife, Porsha, were married for three decades. They tied the knot on September 2, 1989.

Originally from Phoenix City, Alabama, Tim was residing in Northport, Alabama, with his family at the time of passing.

Tim attended Auburn University from 1985 to 1989. Likewise, he also studied at Troy University and Central High School.

His passing was announced with deep sadness by those close to him, including a heartfelt tribute from Sonya Ashford, who described him as a guiding light and a faithful servant of God.

Timothy had celebrated his 15th year as Pastor of First Baptist Church, Aliceville, on March 16, 2025.

He remains immortal through his works, despite not being physically present. As Sonya Ashford shared in a lengthy tribute:

Tim meant so much to so many, and his legacy will live on through all the young men and women, myself included, that he guided to Christ and success.

He reminded me that family matters, and that God is the center of it all,” she added. “Cuzzo made it his mission to bring the family together and encouraged me to lead the way in keeping the family connected.”

His passing has left a heavy weight on those who knew him, but his memory will live on. As the tribute by Sonya read, “Heaven just welcomed home one of the real ones.”

Tim always put his family first and made sure they were well cared for in every aspect of life. Sonya Ashford admired how deeply he valued his family, expressing her appreciation for his dedication to family.

A God Fearing Man, pastor, loving spouse to his beautiful wife, a father & grandfather to his children.
