Former East Gaston Soccer Player Joseph Trite Was A US Navy Sailor!
Joseph Trite was a senior soccer player at East Gaston High School in Mt. Holly, North Carolina, graduating in 2021.
He played varsity soccer as a midfielder wearing jersey number 15 and was part of the Warriors team from 2017 to 2021.
As a sophomore in 2018, he appeared in 7 games and scored 2 goals, while in his junior year, he added an assist to his record.
His senior season in 2020–21 was his most impactful, with 5 games played, 4 goals scored, and 2 assists, helping the team finish 7–5 overall and place third in their conference.
Across his high school career, he played a total of 13 varsity soccer games for East Gaston High School, recording 15 points with 6 goals and 3 assists.
His average contributions included 0.5 goals per game and 0.2 assists per game, reflecting his consistent impact as a midfielder.
After graduation, he remained connected to Stanley, NC. Beyond sports, Joseph completed the U.S. Navy’s Cryptologic Technician (CTR) “A” School in June 2025. He joined

His mother, Danielle Brown Trite, shared this tragic news with heartfelt words, saying:
“I’m asking for prayers for our family. My son, Joseph Trite, has passed away. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate it all. Funeral arrangements will be posted soon. Thank you.”
