American basketball analyst and journalist Jeff Goodman’s daughter, Talia Goodman, is also a sports broadcaster.

Jeff Goodman is a prominent American basketball analyst and journalist who has spent over 20 years covering the sport across the NBA, NCAA, and high school levels.

A graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in journalism, Goodman began his career with FOX Sports in 2006. Later, he moved to CBS Sports.

In 2013, he joined ESPN as a basketball reporter and analyst, where he gained national recognition for his deep insights and player interviews.

Goodman left ESPN in 2018 and became the Basketball Insider for Stadium, where he continues to analyze college basketball and the NBA.

Known for his ability to break news and offer sharp analysis, Goodman is respected for his strong industry connections and authoritative voice in sports media.

Off-screen, Jeff is a family man, married to Melissa Goodman, and their daughter, Talia, is following in his footsteps as a sports broadcaster.

Jeff Goodman’s Daughter, Talia Goodman, Started Her Career In Hockey

Jeff Goodman’s daughter, Talia Goodman, is the only child of Jeff and his wife.

Talia is carving out a path similar to her father’s, building a career in broadcasting.

Currently, she works for the Hoosier Network as a sideline reporter, covering Indiana University’s women’s basketball, soccer, and field hockey teams.

However, this is far from her first step into the world of sports broadcasting.

Talia’s career began in hockey, where she worked as a marketing intern for Hockey New England.

Following this, she contributed as a writer for Canes Country, a publication focused on the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.

Her next opportunity came with NBC in Boston, where she interned by transcribing press conferences and creating scripts for the network’s programs.

In 2022, Talia decided to pursue a degree in Sports Media at Indiana University.

Simultaneously, she joined the Hoosier Network and began contributing to two other local broadcasting stations in Indiana.

To further expand her experience, Talia secured an internship with 24/7 Sports, where she covered Indiana University’s college basketball and football games.

Although she is still in her early twenties, Talia has managed to acquire substantial experience in the broadcasting industry, a field her father has long excelled in.

In addition to working for established organizations, Talia has also launched her own project, Good Sports Media.

This platform showcases interviews with rising hockey players and college basketball talent.

At such a young age, Talia is already making impressive strides in the sports media industry.

If she continues on this trajectory, she is likely to become just as prominent as her father, Jeff Goodman.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Talia Goodman is currently a junior at Indiana University studying Sports Media.
  • She also attended Pingree School as Editor in Chief of The Highlander.
