A 1980 graduate of Gateway High School, Vincent Lombardo tragically passed away on Monday.
Raised in Wenonah, NJ, Vincent’s strong work ethic and service to others started in his teenage years, delivering newspapers and volunteering at the Wenonah Fire Department.
A 1980 graduate of Gateway High School, he was a talented athlete and enjoyed playing football, basketball, and track and field.
After high school, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps, with deployments across the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean, and was a part of the Multi-National Peacekeeping Corp stationed in Beirut, Lebanon.
Later, he moved to Mullica Hill, where he joined the Ferrell Volunteer Fire Department and EMS Squad.
He then started his dedicated 35-year career as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in his hometown of Wenonah.
Former Athlete Vincent Lombardo Passed Away At The Age of 63
Former Gateway High School athlete, Vincent Lombardo, 63, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Close ones and relatives have poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Vincent and his family to stay strong in this challenging time.
As per Vincent’s family, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Clonmell United Methodist Church, 516 W. Broad St., Gibbstown NJ.
Visitation with the family from 9 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a service at 11 am.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Gibbstown Volunteer Fire Department, 700 E. Broad St., Gibbstown, NJ 09027, or Clonmell United Methodist Church.
Vincent will always be remembered for his unforgettable contributions as an athlete at Gateway High School. Rest in Peace, Vincent Lombardo.
Vincent Lombardo Is Survived By His Wife, Roseanne, And Two Children
Vincent Lombardo was married to Roseanne Chila Lombardo in 1990. She always helped Vincent in balancing his personal and professional life.
According to Roseanne’s Facebook handle, she lives in Gibbstown, New Jersey, and holds a master’s degree in education from Grand Canyon University.
She has been serving as an Independent Pampered Chef Consultant since August 25, 2020.
Recently, Roseanne took to her Facebook and announced the death of her husband, Vincent. She wrote,

Vincent is also survived by his children, Natalie and Benjamin Lombardo.

- He was also known for singing karaoke with exuberance and always giving songs his comical twist that had everyone laughing.
