Connor Murdock, a former Hardin High School student-athlete, had been missing since October 25, and the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office confirmed his passing.

Authorities found his deceased body after his vehicle was located in the river near the Spear Siding area.

Connor Murdock is remembered for his drive, kindness, and strong community roots.

He was a standout athlete at Hardin High School, making his mark on the wrestling mat and the football field. After graduation, he continued his studies at Montana Technological University.

Murdock was widely admired for his dedication to learning and his commitment to excellence in all his endeavors.

Connor Murdock was Found Dead Near the Spear Siding Area

The community of Lodge Grass, Montana, united in profound grief following the heartbreaking loss of Connor Angus Murdock.

He was the son of Stephani Murdock, born on August 13, 1998, and grew up with his two sisters, Hillary Nystrom and Paige Murdock.

Murdock was a beloved son, brother, and friend who passed away from this world far too soon at the age of 27. He was a cherished part of his family and shared an unbreakable bond with his adorable two sisters.

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office confirmed his passing, which left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was last seen on the evening of October 25, 2025, and was reported missing after he failed to return home or contact his family.

Authorities located his vehicle, and he had been found deceased in the river near the Spear Siding area.

The circumstances of Murdock’s passing are a source of immense sorrow, but those who loved him will choose to remember the vibrant young man he was.

Murdock leaves behind a family forever changed by his love.

He is survived by his loving mother, Stephani Murdock; his sisters, Hillary Nystrom and Paige Murdock; and a wide circle of extended family, friends, and community members who held him dear.

The Murdock family received friends and loved ones for a visitation on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Bullis Mortuary.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Connor’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Crow Indian Baptist Church, 8 North Railroad Ave, Lodge Grass, MT 59050.

Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Lodge Grass Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Lodge Grass, MT 59050. May the memories of his spirit provide some measure of comfort.
