Despite living a private life, Jennifer Wanliss supports Cory Quail’s career while caring for their family.

Cory Quail is a former high school football coach at Highland High School in Iowa.

Recently, he resigned from his position as head football coach in September 2025.

In a Facebook post, he expressed concerns over player safety and the insufficient number of team members.

He further said:

I have resigned my position as Head Football Coach at Highland.

I tendered my resignation with hope that it would force the decision to not play another football game this season for player protection. Participation numbers are low and injuries have accrued. It was not safe to be out on that field last Friday night and anyone who saw us trying to put receivers in lineman jerseys would agree. That scenario will not change over the course of this year. I will not put our kids in an unsafe place to selfishly build ego for competition.

He hoped stepping down would prompt the school to prioritize player safety and cancel future games.

Furthermore, Quail clarified that false reports had misrepresented his actions. He said that he had personally met with players to explain his decision honestly.

Cory Quail And Wife Are Proud Parents To Their Daughter, Penelope!

Cory Quail is married to Jennifer Wanliss, a private and supportive partner.

Jennifer is a military veteran who prefers private life. Despite her low-key presence, she’s occasionally seen participating in community works, including fundraising efforts for children battling cancer.

Together, they have a daughter named Penelope, who is actively involved in youth sports and has begun carving her own path in athletics.

While Jennifer maintains a low profile, Cory has occasionally shared glimpses of their family life on social media.

He usually posted photos from Penelope’s school milestones, weekend outings, and joyful moments at home.

Cory has been actively supporting his daughter in sports from a young age, both as a parent and a mentor.

Once, he posted about his daughter Penelope’s performance in her first “Attack” season.

He highlighted her early involvement in sports and the pride he takes in her growth.

Moreover, Cory revealed how sports are an integral part of their family life.

Even after resigning from his role as head football coach, Cory Quail continued to serve as a full-time physical education teacher at Highland High School.
