Former Juan Diego Catholic High School Lacrosse Player Alec Meyer, 27, Died, Leaving Parents Shattered!

Former Lacrosse player and USAFA graduate, Alec Meyer, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2025, at the age of 27.

Meanwhile, the cause of his demise remains unknown as his family is grieving in private.

Alec Meyer is survived by his parents, Jeff and Susan Meyer, a former Paraprofessional at St. John the Baptist Elementary, and his sister, Brittany Meyer.

So far, neither of his parents has broken their silence on his untimely demise. Whereas his sister and best friend, Brittany, updated her Facebook cover picture to one featuring him.

Born and raised in Draper, Alec Meyer was a talented lacrosse player at Juan Diego Catholic High School in Draper, Utah.

During his time at the high school, he left a strong mark on the boys’ varsity lacrosse team.

Playing from 2010 to 2016, Alec wore jersey number 1 and was part of an impressive 2012 season.

In 2012, he was part of the team when they won all 22 games, including a perfect 6-0 in their region. They earned the top spot in Utah and a national ranking of #91.

Similarly, Alec was a lifelong participant in the Skaggs Catholic Center community.

Later, Alec Meyer was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) as a Basic Cadet and became a Cadet Fourth Class (C4C) in 2018.

Harrison Kasper, one of his friends, wrote:

Gone too soon buddy, sending up prayers and love to you and your family ❤️❤️‍🩹 Rest easy and fly high man, I’ll always remember our times in HS when you made me feel so accepted!

Reportedly, his loved ones are coming together to honor his life at a memorial service on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Juan Diego Catholic High School.

During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of Alec Meyer’s parents, sister, friends, and extended family.
