Former senior guard of the Tennessee Lady Volunteers women’s basketball team, Ruby Whitehorn, has supportive parents, with her mother, Mechelle, being a strong pillar of support for her.

Ruby Whitehorn has been dismissed from the Tennessee Lady Volunteers women’s basketball team by head coach Kim Caldwell.

The dismissal follows her second arrest in less than three months: early Thursday morning, she was reportedly stopped by campus police in Knoxville.

According to the reports, she was charged with misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana (approximately 5.59 g).

Earlier in Augus,t she was arrested on charges including felony domestic assault and aggravated burglary.

The only parent Ruby Whitehorn has ever mentioned in the media is her mother, Mechelle, along with her godmother, Lisa Bryant, and her grandparents.

She pursued further education at Michigan Christian College.
