The Las Vegas Raiders are parting ways with cornerback Jack Jones after trying to trade him.
The team will save $3.4 million in salary cap space by releasing him.
Jones, who was claimed off waivers by the Raiders in 2023 after being let go by the New England Patriots, played 24 games for the team.
He had a solid 2024 season, starting all 16 games and setting career highs with 69 tackles, 16 passes defended, and 3 interceptions.
However, he allowed 698 yards and 9 touchdowns, with a passer rating of 108.9 on 88 targets while covering receivers.
Despite the changes in his career, Jack Jones has his girlfriend, Noelle Trimble, and one child by his side, so he’s got support in his personal life.
