Marv Levy, the legendary football coach, is not only celebrated for his achievements on the field but also for his enduring personal life, particularly his long marriage to Mary Levy, whom he wed in 1993.

Marv Levy is a former American football coach and executive best known for his time as head coach of the Buffalo Bills.

His coaching career spanned the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL).

He began his coaching career in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes, where he won two Grey Cup titles from 1973 to 1977.

Levy then moved to the NFL, coaching the Kansas City Chiefs from 1978 to 1982 before taking over the Bills in 1986.

Under Levy, the Bills became a dominant AFC team in the 1990s, making four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1990 to 1993, though losing each.

Levy retired from coaching in 1997 but returned to the Bills as general manager from 2006 to 2007.

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2021.

Marv Levy Found Love With Now-Wife Mary Levy After His Previous Failed Marriage to Dorothy Prout

Mary Levy, the wife of former Bills head coach Marv Levy, has gained recognition for her candid opinions and strong family values.

In February 1993, Levy married Mary, with whom he has enjoyed a long and enduring partnership.

Born Mary Frances Kolovos Kozlowski, she worked as a secretary at G.D. Searle & Co. and Harris Trust & Savings Bank.

She graduated from Thomas Kelly High School in Chicago in 1962.

Mary and Marv have a daughter, Kim, and two grandchildren, Angela (the eldest) and Gregory (the youngest).

Before his marriage to Mary Frances, Levy was married to Dorothy Prout.

Although details about their relationship remain private, their union was a part of Levy’s earlier years.

In November 2023, Mary Levy made headlines for her outspoken criticism of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

During an interview with The Boston Globe, she strongly disapproved of Belichick, calling him a “cheater” and a “mean person.”

She also claimed he was rude to Marv and jealous of his success.

Her comments came in response to Belichick’s remark in 2009 that he didn’t want to end up like Marv, coaching into his 70s.

Mary’s frustration with Belichick led her to jokingly say that she hoped he would never win again.

Marv responded humorously, saying that Mary would have to run extra wind sprints for her comments.

Despite her fiery remarks, Mary has always been a supportive figure in Marv’s life.

They remain deeply connected as a family, and Mary frequently attends events with their daughter and grandchildren.

In August 2023, the family traveled to Canton, Ohio, to honor Marv at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Mary continues to be a steadfast presence in Marv’s post-coaching years, showing her love and support for him while also embracing her role as a grandmother.
