Former Llano HS Athlete Michael Orien Rogers, 80, Passes Away Leaving Behind His Wife Charmane Fowler And Two Children

Michael Orien Rogers, who played football and basketball at Llano High School, passed away on Wednesday.

Growing up in the heart of Texas, Michael Orien Rogers attended Llano High School.

After high school, he furthered his education at Howard Payne and South West Texas State Teachers College.

Although he did not get a degree, his pursuit of knowledge and athletic prowess remained a significant part of his life story.

In 2014, Michael was inducted into the Llano High School Hall of Fame in recognition of his athletic achievements and the character he displayed on and off the field.

He dedicated 36 years of his career to the Charles Maund Automotive Group in Austin, Texas, where he made his mark in finance, credit, and rental car management.

Llano High School graduate Michael Orien Rogers took his last breath on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Llano, Texas, at 80. However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Harrell Funeral Home of Llano made a Facebook post and invited everyone to join them in remembering Michael.

In the comment section, friends and relatives mourned the tragic loss of Michael and sent their heartfelt condolences. One person wrote,

Michael Orien Rogers Had Two Children With His Wife, Charmane Fowler Rogers

Michael Orien Rogers married his high school sweetheart, Charmane Fowler Rogers. Their exact wedding date has not been revealed.

Following their marriage, they lived in Austin, but after several years, they returned to their hometown of Llano, where they settled in a picturesque home with a perfect view of their favorite mountain.

According to Charmane’s Facebook handle, she is originally from Llano, Texas, and attended Llano High School.

Currently, Charmane is mourning the tragic loss of her husband, Michael Orien Rogers.

Charmane and Michael had one son, Christopher Carlisle Rogers, and one daughter, Michelle Rogers Berlinger.
