For 49 years, Joe owned and operated Joe Vangilder Auto Dealership in Paragould. His business was built on integrity, hard work, and a genuine care for his customers.

Joe treated everyone who walked through his doors with respect, creating lasting relationships that went beyond just selling cars.

He was also an active member of the Paragould Chamber of Commerce, where he worked to support local businesses and strengthen the community he loved.

As a devoted member of the 7th & Mueller Church of Christ, he lived out his beliefs every day.

His faith shaped his actions, from the way he ran his business to the kindness he showed to others.

Joe’s generosity and willingness to help those in need inspired everyone around him, making him a true role model in his community.

“My condolences to the family of Joe. He was one of those people you always enjoyed being around. I have known Joe all of his life, and he was a fine, outstanding person who will be missed greatly. May God bless you all as you go through this difficult time.”

Funeral services for Joe Lynn Vangilder will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould, with Mr. Larry McFadden officiating.

The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould.

In place of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Children’s Home of Paragould, two organizations that meant a great deal to Joe.

Joe Lynn Vangilder lived a life full of purpose, faith, and love. From his days as a Marmaduke Greyhound to his decades as a respected businessman and devoted family man, Joe left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

His passion for life, his commitment to his community, and his love for his family will never be forgotten.
