Former MMA and UFC fighter Chuck Liddell and his former wife Heidi Northcott were married for ten years before divorcing in 2021. The couple’s divorce wasn’t amicable, with Northcott firing shots at his mental health.
Liddell, 55, known as “The Iceman,” made his UFC debut in 1998.
Liddell retired in 2010 from UFC with a 21-8-0 record, with his last three matches ending in knockouts.
During his prime in the early 2000s, Liddell was undefeatable. Between 2003 and 2006, Liddell didn’t lose a single game and knocked out all his opponents.
In the highly anticipated match with Tito Ortiz, Liddell threw several punches in the second round to knock him out.
This began a heated rivalry between the two, but we didn’t see them face against each other for the next two and a half years.
When they faced again in 2006, Liddell neutralized Ortiz and defeated him in the third round.
Liddell’s other heated rivalries include fights with Randy Couture and Jeremy Horn.
Time and again, Couture and Liddell received credit for bringing the mainstream spotlight on UFC in the early 2000s.
Since retiring from UFC, Liddell has appeared in several movies and television shows.
In recent years, the UFC Hall of Famer has talked about his life away from UFC in several podcasts and is seen advertising various products.
Chuck Liddell And His Former Wife, Heidi Northcott Divorced In 2021
The news of Chuck Liddell proposing to his former wife, Heidi Northcott, made headlines in 2010.
The UFC fighter had retired six months ago after his loss against Rich Franklin and proposed to Heidi on November 4.
The PEOPLE magazine wrote at the time that Chuck popped the question to Northcott after a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon.
The two met through mutual friends at a party and had been dating for over a year.
Chuck and Heidi tied the knot a year later and kept the details of their wedding day private.
Unfortunately, the relationship between the couple strained over the years, and they divorced in 2021.
On October 11, 2021, Chuck was arrested on the charges of domestic violence.
Deputies arrived at Liddell’s Hidden Hills, California, home around midnight after reports of a family disturbance.
Upon their arrival, the deputies saw that Chuck and Heidi had been involved in a physical altercation.
The UFC fighter was arrested and charged with domestic battery. He was later released on a $20,000 bond.
Three days after the incident, Chuck filed for divorce from Heidi.
In a document obtained by TMZ, the former UFC fighter filed for the dissolution of their marriage with minor children.
After getting released, Chuck shared a statement on his Instagram account. He wrote,
I was the victime of the incident last night at our family home, as details of the case will reveal. The deputies informed me that my wife would be arrested, as I did not respond to her assault while I sustained bruising and lacerations. I volunteered to go in her place instead.

Two years after their divorce, Chuck Liddell and his former wife, Heidi Northcott, reached a temporary support agreement in 2023.
According to the court document, Chuck agreed to pay Heidi $4,793 per month in support.
The breakdown of the support payments includes $2,689 for spousal support and $2,104 for child support.
The former couple has two kids, a daughter named Guinevere, born in 2011, and a son named Cade, born in 2013.
They also agreed to share joint custody of their two children, and later, it was revealed that the support agreement is temporary and will remain in effect until a final agreement is executed.
Before agreeing with the court’s settlement of their divorce case, Heidi had demanded $7,000 in support.
The temporary support came after Chuck and Heidi dropped their attempts to strip each other of custody rights.
Heidi and Chuck certainly didn’t have an amicable breakup.
Before reaching an agreement, Heidi had accused Chuck of alienating her from their children and preventing her from communicating with them.
In 2022, Heidi shared that Chuck could be suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
Heidi stated in her court documents that Liddell had a lot of paranoia and had accused her of a lot of things and became worried she would leave him.
