Former Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball player Kyle  Singler is now being charged with a domestic‑violence offense for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Kyle Singler is a former college star at Duke Blue Devils and played in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder.

He attended Duke University from 2007 to 2011, where he became one of the top players, helping the Blue Devils win the 2010 NCAA Championship.

The Detroit Pistons selected Singler with the 33rd overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Former Duke Basketball Forward Kyle Singler Was Arrested After His Girlfriend Filed a Harassment Case Against Him

While the personal details about Kyle Singler’s girlfriend have not been disclosed in the media, what is known is that he has a child with her.

Recently, his girlfriend filed a case against Kyle, claiming that he grabbed her by the head and shoved her to the ground.

Following the arrest last Tuesday, authorities stated that Singler’s girlfriend had fingerprint outlines on her face and marks on her arm.

According to Deputy Mitch Dobbs, Kyle was under the influence of narcotics. He was released on a $6,000 bond, and his former agent told The Associated Press that he no longer represents Singler.

Now Kyle faces some legal issues, but this is not the first time he has been involved in controversy.

Nearly a year ago, Kyle shared a disturbing video on Instagram, in which he said he had been abused and mistreated by many.

In the video, he also claimed that he was calling the authorities on his parents. Several other NBA players expressed support for him at the time.

While he now faces allegations from his girlfriend, he currently seems to be in the media spotlight for the crime he is accused of committing, whether it was under the influence of narcotics or not.
