Elisha Nelson “Eli” Manning, a name well known to the world of New York Giants football, retired in 2020 following a stunning 16-season career in the NFL.

Born on January 3, 1981, the youngest son of ex-NFL quarterback Archie Manning and Olivia Williams Manning found his place for success, achieving a net worth of approximately $160 million.

This unique figure results from his high-earning NFL deals, many sponsorships, and well-placed business investments.

Growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana, Eli spent time playing football with his two older brothers, Peyton and Cooper.

He attended Isidore Newman School, where he was an accomplished football and basketball player.

As a high school football player, Eli broke school records with 7,389 passing yards and 89 touchdowns.

Following in his father’s footsteps,  Eli played college football at the University of Mississippi, graduating with a degree in marketing.

Despite initial reluctance, the San Diego Chargers selected Manning as the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.

However, a pre-arranged deal led to a trade to the New York Giants, where he would spend his entire professional career.

Eli’s Giants career began with a six-year, $45 million contract. Over the years, he became the team’s starter, showcasing fantastic consistency and durability.

Between 2004 and 2017, Eli played in a record 210 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in NFL history. During his 16 years, he threw for 57,023 yards and 366 touchdowns.

In August 2009, he signed a six-year, $97.5 million contract extension.

Eli’s salary high point was $18 million annually, estimating his value to the Giants.

Eli Manning’s Net Worth Grew Through Endorsement Deals With Major Brands And His On-Field Success

He was associated with Nike, Reebok, Toyota, Gatorade, Kraft, Hublet, and Visa throughout his career.

He also endorsed Oreo and NFLShop commercials. These endorsements contributed to his annual income of between $8 and $10 million.

In 2011, endorsements earned him approximately $7 million.

While football was his primary source of income, Eli also ventured into the business world. He became a partner in Brand Velocity Group, a private equity firm.

Even though he has retired from the NFL, Eli remains involved with the Giants and the broader football community.

He rejoined the Giants in 2021, taking on a role in business operations and fan engagement.

While he initially ruled out coaching due to the demanding hours, he has expressed interest in broadcasting and coaching at the high school level.

He and his brother Peyton did volunteer work following Hurricane Katrina, delivering essential supplies to the people of New Orleans.

In 2007, he began a five-year fund-raising campaign to raise $2.5 million for “The Eli Manning Children’s Clinics” at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

He also backed fundraising campaigns for awareness of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Eli Manning is remembered as a dedicated player, a two-time Super Bowl champion, and a committed philanthropist.
