They married on March 22, 2009, and have built a lovely family with three children: son Tate and twins Talbot and T.J.

A challenging turn in the couple’s life came when their son T.J. was born with a congenital heart defect.

This personal experience led to developing the HEARTest Yard program, an initiative under Receptions for Research: The Greg Olsen Foundation.

Also, this foundation was inspired by his mother, Susan’s courageous battle with breast cancer in 2001.

The HEARTest Yard program, founded in 2013, offers much-needed family support and services for pediatric cardiovascular patients throughout the Carolinas.

As co-founder, Kara is an integral part of the foundation.

Kara and Greg work together to grow the program and its services.

The couple loves fitness, family, and making a difference in the community. Kara’s dedication to her family and drive to help others have inspired many people.

She is warm, encouraging, and loving in all aspects of her life, from raising her children to supporting needy families.
