Former No.1 tennis player Andy Roddick and his wife, Brooklyn Decker, have been married since 2009, and together, they have built a tight-knit family with their two children.
The couple first met in 2007 when Brooklyn was hosting a show for Sports Illustrated called “She Says Z Says, NFL Pick,” which Andy watched regularly.
Intrigued by her, Andy had his attorney contact Brooklyn’s agent to set up a meeting. In response, she initially thought it was a bit “shady” and didn’t contact him back for five months.
Eventually, Brooklyn gave in and agreed to call him, and soon after their first meeting, the pair started dating.
The couple frequently shared their fascinating love story in public, which their fans seem to love.
Over the years, their romance has turned into a marriage and parenthood journey with their children.
Andy Roddick and His Wife, Brooklyn Decker, Have Been Married for 15 Years!
The tennis player Andy Roddick proposed to his girlfriend, Brooklyn, just one year into their relationship, and they became engaged in March 2008.
The couple exchanged vows on April 17, 2009, in an intimate Texas ceremony with close friends and family.
Andy and Brooklyn welcomed their firstborn, Hank Roddick, on September 30, 2015, and their youngest, Stevie, on November 27, 2017.
Talking about parenthood with US Weekly, the tennis player expressed how they have been able to manage work with kids, saying:
I think with work and kids, I think that we’re a really good team, I think we know that we each try to go above and beyond with our household responsibilities and the kids. And so, I don’t think we ever question either [person’s] effort at all [which] leads to kind of more of a calming situation.
In 2024, the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, and Brooklyn shared some pictures from their special day on Instagram.
“15 years later, the pair like to keep things interesting and their love seems to have grown more,” she wrote in the caption.
Andy is not very active on social media, unlike his wife, who frequently shares glimpses of her personal life online.
Brooklyn often shares about her children and family moments on social media, especially during special occasions.
Moreover, Brooklyn is a supportive wife, a devoted mother to her children, and a successful model and actress herself.
High-end editorials such as Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, FHM, and Glamour have featured her prominently, and she has been on international covers for GQ, Esquire, Glamour, and Flare.
However, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue marked a major highlight of her career, earning her significant recognition early in her modeling journey.
She has also ventured into acting and has made guest appearances on TV shows such as Chuck, Ugly Betty, The League, and Royal Pains.
Additionally, she starred in her first feature film debut in Just Go with It in 2011 and later worked in Battleship and What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
Even now, Brooklyn actively manages her career while balancing her personal life with her kids and husband.
