Former O’Connor High School Football Player Erik Rogalinski Passed Away, Leaving The Community Heartbroken

The O’Connor High School community is grieving the loss of former football player Erik Rogalinski, a beloved son, brother, and friend.

News of his passing has left classmates, teammates, and loved ones heartbroken.

One friend shared,

“We are heartbroken over the passing of our dear friend, son, brother, and more. Erik Rogalinski, Class of 2020. Let’s come together this Sunday at 7 PM at the O’Connor football field for a balloon release in his memory. Please bring blue or baby blue balloons in honor of his love for the Milwaukee Brewers.”

Another friend added,

“Erik was a very close friend of mine. This one stings. I’ll miss you big guy. It was a pleasure being able to know you. Until we meet again.”

Honoring His Memory

Erik was a standout defensive end and defensive tackle for the O’Connor Panthers from 2016 to 2019, proudly wearing jersey number #44.

Known for his dedication on the field and his strong presence in the locker room, he left a lasting impression on both teammates and coaches.

Following high school, Erik continued his academic and athletic journey at the University of Houston.

A memorial balloon release will take place on August 10, 2025, at 7:00 PM to honor and celebrate Erik’s life.

The gathering will be held at Sandra Day O’Connor Football Field, located at 12221 Leslie Rd. in Helotes, Texas.

In a touching tribute to Erik’s passion for the Milwaukee Brewers, attendees are invited to bring blue or baby blue balloons to release together, creating a meaningful moment of remembrance that reflects his love for the team.

Though gone too soon, Erik Rogalinski will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and passion for sports.

His friends, family, and community will gather not only to mourn his passing but also to celebrate the life of a young man who touched so many hearts.
