Haley Rineer, a talented lacrosse player, passed away at the age of 28, leaving behind her family, friends, and well-wishers.

Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Haley had an impressive career at Old Dominion University (ODU) as an attacker.

Standing 5’4″, she led her team to their first Mid-Penn conference championship and amassed 247 points.

While the exact reason for her demise is not publicly known, she inevitably left a positive impact on her community.

Haley Rineer Left A Lasting Impression During Her Playing Years As A Lacrosse Player!

At ODU, she played in several games across her freshman, sophomore, and junior years.

During her freshman year in 2017, she appeared in three games: Stetson, Howard, and Delaware State.

While there, she scored her first collegiate goal at Howard, along with another goal and an assist.

In her sophomore year in 2018, she contributed in six games, with two goals, four assists, two ground balls, two draw controls, and three caused turnovers.

Similarly, as a junior (2019), she played one game and recorded a ground ball and a draw control.

Unfortunately, she faced challenges in her senior year in 2020, as an injury kept her off the field.

In high school, she was a four-year varsity starter, excelling with 247 career points (174 goals, 73 assists). Likewise, she led her team to its first Mid-Penn conference championship.

Regarding her education, she majored in professional writing and communications.

From a young age, Haley Rineer displayed a strong passion for sports, which eventually paved the way for her lacrosse career.

She once expressed her gratitude for being part of the ODU lacrosse team and said:

I am so blessed to be a part of the ODU lacrosse team. My first time on campus I met a couple amazing teammates and Coach Holt made me feel right at home. ODU has the perfect location and offers great opportunities for me to further my education.

Haley Rineer Demonstrated Her Balanced Role As A Dependable Team Player!

Over the course of three years, from 2017 to 2019, Haley Rineer played in a total of 10 games, showcasing her ability to contribute in various aspects of lacrosse.

She scored 4 goals, provided 5 assists, and amassed 9 points, highlighting her offensive capabilities.

Moreover, she collected 5 ground balls on the defensive end, forced 3 turnovers, and secured 3 draw controls.

Although her playtime was limited, her statistics reflect a balanced contribution as both offensive and defensive.

Haley Rineer’s passing has deeply affected her family and community. Many of her friends, family, and admirers paid tribute and shared heartfelt messages via social media.

They described her as a cheerful, dedicated, and hardworking person. One of her well wishers took to Facebook and wrote:
