Drew Valenta, a respected and skilled soccer coach, passed away in June 2025, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the soccer community.

While the cause of his sudden demise remains unknown, his impact on soccer, particularly in Nebraska, is profound and enduring.

His career began in 2011 at Papillion Soccer Club, where he coached for a decade before moving on to leadership roles at Roja Soccer Club and Sting Soccer Club in Omaha.

Drew Valenta Was Involved In Soccer Coaching For Over 12 Years!

With over 12 years of experience, Drew Valenta was dedicated to fostering a player-centric coaching environment that encouraged growth, teamwork, and excellence.

His coaching career began at Papillion Soccer Club, where he served as Head Soccer Coach from 2011 to 2021.

Later, he took on the role of Director of Recreational Soccer from 2018 to 2020.

His leadership and mentorship extended to Roja Soccer Club in Omaha, where he worked as the Head Girls Soccer Coach in early 2022.

Subsequently, he continued his legacy at Sting Soccer Club, where he remained a valued mentor and leader.

Beyond the field, Drew was deeply committed to player development, soccer analytics, and cutting-edge coaching techniques.

He utilized tools like Veo Platform, Playermaker, and Trace to enhance his coaching strategies.

His expertise in speed and agility training helped shape numerous athletes into confident and competitive players.

Holding a USSF National C Coaching License, Safesport Certification, and U.S. Soccer Grassroots Referee Certification, he brought professionalism and dedication to every role he undertook.

A graduate of Creighton University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance.

Drew’s passion for the game, his support for his players, and his infectious enthusiasm made him a beloved figure in the soccer community.

His legacy lives on through the athletes he mentored, the programs he helped develop, and the countless lives he touched.

His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and the soccer world.
